First High School Basketball Game

Tonight Kareena and I went to a basketball game at Mark Keppel High.  Kenny went to high school there and it was a neat feeling bringing Kareena to his alma mater.  This was her first time going to a high school game and she had a blast. She loved the band and was fascinated by the drill team and cheerleaders.  She’s a happy camper when there’s music and dancing involved.  She even let Ms. Han hold her.  If you know Kareena, you know that she does not let anyone hold her.  In those rare occasions that she does let you - you’re in for a treat because she will kiss and hug you like you’re the most special person to her.  It’s the best feeling in the world!  That’s a fix I need everyday.  As I was saying, she loves music and dancing - she tried to mimic the cheerleader’s moves all night.   It was really hard holding her as she was trying to dance because the bleachers we were sitting on were kind of wobbly .  Plus I was so sore from the night before.  We worked out again last night and to say it was tough is an understatement.  I can’t find words to describe how intense it was.  Let’s just say I could barely walk today without looking like something was stuck up my… Anyways, we did a lot of lower body exercises for about an hour.   At one point I got so beat up I thought I was going to pass out - and I always forget to breathe.  I don’t even notice that I’m holding my breath until I hear Danny screaming, “Breathe!  Don’t forget to BREATHE!”.  We did something called the Plank Walk last night and I actually liked it a lot.  It’s tough holding a plank position (push-up position) for a minute, but try walking sideways in that position with your arms - back and forth 6 times.  I don’t like the plank, but I really like the plank walk.  I’m told the workouts we’ve been doing so far are considered warm-up type workouts.  Not sure if I want to know what the real workouts are going to involve.  YIKES!

Please visit Kenny’s site for pictures of the Keppel game!
