Boot Camp

Oh boy.  Day 3 was grueling!  From 50 push-ups on day 1 to a 45 minute workout consisting of abs, stretches, cardio and strength training.  I didn’t think last night’s session would be that intense, but I loved it!  It felt good.  Danny and Jen are awesome trainers (thanks guys!).   It’s such a great feeling and a better experience when a trainer is present to teach and show you the correct forms and techniques.  For a beginner like me, it is definitely better than following routines in a workout dvd.  I’ve never stuck to a workout regimen for longer than a month.  When I worked out at the gym or at home on my own, I didn’t come out of the workout with that good sore feeling in my body.  Sure, I’d break a sweat and feel wobbly in my knees from running the treadmill - but not the stiff, tight and soreness of the muscles that I got last night.  I felt like I got a good beating, but it felt good.  I get discouraged easily when I don’t see results soon enough.  This time it feels different.  This time I don’t feel like I’m in a hurry to see results.  I just want to be stronger and healthier.  I feel like I can keep this up for a very long time.  I’ll post some workout pictures next time.  :)
